Review: Really the best R/C shop in
Shanghai for trucks/cars. Also has plenty of helis and models. They have a nice
repair shop. There is always someone who speaks English in the store as well as
someone who is very knowledgeable. Most of the inventory is 1:10th scale, but
some 1:18th stuff. They stock all the Tamiya TLTs with parts. Good supply of
R/C stuff - paints, tools, ESCs, batt packs, Rxs, Servos, etc. Note: the web
site shows what they have in Hong Kong, not Shanghai. In terms of finding the
place, it is literally on the perimeter of stores on exterior ground floor of
the football stadium. the address "444" is a building in the football
complex, but the shop is not in that detached building. You need to drive in
the parking area at the football stadium and walk the perimeter until you find
it. Nice WWII models.
Shanghai Yifeng Model Hobby

Review: The second best hobby shop in Shanghai. The
photo of the interior shows about 2/3 of the place. Mostly 1:10th electric and
models. There is a good tool section with outstanding tools, paint supplies,
and the prices are also very reasonable. Outstanding
collection of Kyosho 1:28th bodies. Nice WWII models.

Review: I don't have the address in English. It is near
IKEA in Shanghai and across from the Olympic Hotel. The address and map (the
blue highlighted location) in Chinese so I depends on the map to get me there.
The shop is a bit difficult to spot on the street. You just need a taxi driver
to drop off near there and locate the Olympic Hotel, go across the street and
look closely for the store. As the outside photo shows, this place is very
small, about 1/3 the size of the fairly small Yifeng Model Hobby above. The
inventory is horrible. No parts, a few basic tools. They are overpriced and the
one thing I bought from them was broken when I opened it. Nothing is factory
sealed. Even in China where everything can be negotiated, they start at the
highest.
